The main focus of this project was for wheelchair access throughout the new extension and new external patio terrace, and gentle slopped footpaths leading to the garden and garage. We wanted to create a space that was accessible without compromising on the look or style of the home.
This project was a bigger job, consisting of a full-width single-storey extension to the rear of the property, allowing access to the rear garden and side of the house.
Internally we created a new living room space and a completely new kitchen refurbishment. The combination of skylights and large glass doors creates a bright and easily maneuverable addition to their home. Off the living room area was a new disabled shower & toilet room with a built-in shower chair for easy access. The living room has also benefitted from two large electric remote-controlled velux roof windows. The Uxbridge project had some very specific, non-negotiable, accessibility needs. We were able to provide these, as well as give the space a new life.
